Components of network

- Intermediate devices(Routers, Switches, Hub/ Repeaters(they are obsolete and are replaced by modern switches)) Repeaters are used to extend the range of LAN. Limitation of power on cable flow with certain distances so repeater are used.Hub is a multiport repeater used to add more connection to the LAN. Both of these works at the first layer of OSI model as they generate electrical signals only. Typically they are unintelligent and unmanaged device.
